Obituary of Raul Hernandez-Mendez

Raul Hernandez-Mendez, 63, of Pasco, Washington, passed away June 8, 2016 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He was born in Valle de Santiago, Mexico on August 12, 1952 to parents, Jose and Luz Hernandez. He and his 4 brothers and 1 sister where raised in Mexico. Raul was married to Ana Elia Silva-Perez on April 25, 1975. Together they raised 3 children. Raul moved to the United State in search of work in 1992. He work for PJ Taggares Farms from 1992 to 2007. He then moved to Pasco where he worked for Greenridge farms for 3 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church and had a passion for music and soccer. He was known to be responsible, thoughtful, and serious. He loved to dance, and enjoyed people. He will be missed. He was survived his wife, Ana Hernandez of Pasco, Washington, his children; Liliana (Constancio Ochoa) Hernandez of Fresno, California, Gabriela (Huber) Quiroz of Othello, Washington, and Sandra (Roberto) Monroy of Pasco, Washington, siblings: Rodolfo (Rita) Hernandez, Raquel (Armando) Hernandez, and Jorge (Delia) Hernandez, all of Valle de Santiago, Mexico, and his 8 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Luz Hernandez, and two brothers, Jose Hernandez and Lucio Hernandez. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, concluding with a rosary from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello, Washington. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Othello, Washington.
