Obituary of Glen W. Ransier

Glen W. Ransier, 65, of Ephrata, Washington, passed away September 23, 2016 at the Othello Community Hospital. He was born in Sunnyside, Washington on October 19, 1950 to Mary and Lester Ransier. He had three children, Donna, Tony and David with his first wife Donna. In 1997, Glen married Dale Taylor Bailey and became a father to two stepdaughters, Amber and Amanda. Glen served in the Army Infantry and the Navy. He was an Air Traffic Controller and his military service included serving his country in Vietnam. As a civilian, he worked as an industrial mechanic and electrician. He was a member of the American Legion. He had a serious passion for operating HAM radios. He used this skill to work with Camp Murray. In his quiet time, he enjoyed caring for his llamas and was an avid computer hobbyist. To outsiders he appeared to have a hard shell, but he was always willing to help people in need. Glen was a member of the Bethel Spanish Assembly of God Church in Othello, Washington, and loved the time he spent with his church family. His family would like to recognize the wonderful care he received while living at Avalon Care Center over the past two years. He was survived by his wife Dale Ransier, his daughter Donna, his son Tony, his son David, his stepdaughter Amber, his stepdaughter Amanda, his sister Mary, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion in Ephrata, WA on November 12, 2016 at 12:00.
