Keith Brown

Obituary of Keith Douglas Brown

Keith Douglas Brown, age 51, lifelong resident of Othello, Washington, passed away December 8, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Spokane, Washington on December 15, 1964, to parents, Ross and Beverley (Oke) Brown. Keith graduated from Othello High School in 1983 and then attended Washington State University for two years. On September 3, 1988, Keith married Sandra Charmaine Hudgens, and together they had three sons. Keith began working at Kuo Testing Lab in Othello in 2006. He worked his way up in the company and was the Chem. Laboratory Manager until his health forced him to stop working early in 2016. Despite his battle with cancer, he was always optimistic, had a positive outlook, and maintained his sense of humor. In fact, when the cancer and treatments no longer allowed him to work, he considered himself “officially retired”. Keith had a passion for sports. His love of golf started when he was in high school and after college, he played on local softball teams. Keith was also involved in coaching various sports his sons played in when they were young, and he was a proud supporter of his favorite football team, the Pittsburg Steelers. Keith’s primary passion in life was for people and sharing his strong faith in God. He was a member of Lake City Foursquare Church in Moses Lake, Washington, and was truly blessed by the weekly visits he had with Pastor Dave during this past year. He was a kind, soft spoken, good man. He and his wife, Sandra, opened up their home to children from the Bailey Memorial Youth Ranch. Their house was a respite house for 5 years, during which time they had 63 children pass through their care. He will be dearly missed by them. Keith was preceded in death by his mother, Beverley Brown. He is survived by his wife, Sandra C. Brown, of Othello, Washington, and children: Damon Ross (Cassie) Brown of Moses Lake, Washington; Matthew Connor Brown of Othello, Washington; and Seth Levi Samson Brown of Othello, Washington. He is also survived by his father, Ross Brown of Othello; his sister, Heather (Jim) Harrington of Lake Forest Park, Washington; and three half-siblings: Avis Brown of Spokane, Washington; Steve Brown of Spokane, Washington; and Jay (Peggy) Brown of Lewiston, Idaho. There are also many nieces and nephews as well as two goddaughters: Terra Marie Miller and Victoria Marie Webb, both of Moses Lake. Keith recently found out in September that he has one grandchild on the way. He was truly excited about this! The Memorial is at 1:00 pm, January 7, 2017, at the Othello Foursquare Church. The celebration of life is to follow at the Desert Oasis Building. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brown’s Go Fund Me account.
