DOB 08/02/1946 DOD 11/12/2025 Written and provided by family. Phoenix, Arizona - Linda Katherine Hindmarch (Olberding), 79, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully at 4:17 p.m. on November 12, 2025, surrounded by loving family, her cherished cats and most beloved traditional country music songs. Linda was born August 2, 1946 in Emmett, Idaho, to Paul Olberding and Sally (Luella) Olberding (Heidy). The oldest of six children, in 1955 she moved with her parents and younger siblings to their family farm near Connell, Washington. It was there that Linda ("Dingles" as she was affectionately called by her family) developed a deep love for nature and all creatures, large and small. Growing up Linda enjoyed farm life, horses and cheerleading. After graduating from Connell High School in 1964 Linda attended Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane, Washington, earning an Associate's Degree. Linda was a thoughtful, compassionate and committed Hospice Nurse guiding patients and families through their final moments for over thirty years primarily in Boulder, Colorado and Tri-Cities, Washington. In 1987 she began serving as the National Federation of the Blind Nurse at NFB annual conventions. In 2001 she was awarded the NFB Distinguished Service Award for her unique blend of technical medical training, common sense, and genuine caring and concern for individual people. Linda, with her former husband James Hindmarch, brought into this world her two greatest joys, daughter Jaime and son Erik. Linda's spirit was competitive, she enjoyed games and sports of all kinds and an occasional trip to the casino. She could often be found cheering on her family in athletic competitions and livestock shows. She was a devout Denver Broncos fan and especially enjoyed horse racing. Remaining to cherish Linda's memory are Daughter Jaime Hindmarch (Michael Christopher) of Phoenix, Arizona and Son Erik Hindmarch (Samantha) of Danville, California; Granddaughter Cameron Hindmarch and Grandsons Cal Hindmarch, Andrew Christopher and Match Christopher; Brothers, Fred Olberding and Allen Olberding (Cheryl) and Sisters, Barbara Olberding and Heidi Scott (Graham); nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
