Obituary of Larry Michael Spalding

Please share a memory of Larry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Written and provided by family. Larry Michael Spalding, farmer, friend, father and husband passed away December 23, 2025 at home in the company of his wife, daughter and beloved dogs. Born in Elma, Wa April 12, 1954 to Ed and Millie Spalding. Raised and lived on the family farm he helped build out of sagebrush and sand in Royal City, Wa. There Larry worked the land, harvested and hauled his own crops. A self taught professional welder and engineer he enjoyed fabricating. His happy place was on the open road and was always drawn to anything with a motor. Whether it was a truck, a motorcycle, a snowmobile, a boat or a car, Larry was always ready for adventure. He loved Harleys and fishing and watching NASCAR and drag races. He took pride in his equipment on the farm and off, everything was clean, polished, serviced and ready to go. He always greeted you with a smile, a firm handshake and lived life to the absolute fullest. How Larry lived, makes it hard to say goodbye. His need for speed and contagious laugh, gone, but not forgotten. Always in our hearts. “When the race is at the end, may your heart race when engines roar. And your love of racing never wane. May we meet around the turn.” Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life for Larry Spalding on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. at The Moose Lodge in Royal City, Wa.
