Obituary of Humberto Miranda - Medina

~~Humberto Miranda-Medina, age 53, of Mesa, Washington, passed away at home May 1, 2017.  He was born in Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico on October 24, 1963 to parents, Edwardo Miranda-Arreola and Magdalena Medina-Navarro.  He and his twelve siblings where raised in Mexico.  He and the love of his life, Jovita Madrigal, have been together for twenty five years, and have six children. His children adore him. His second oldest says he will never forget everything he taught him. One of his father’s favorite quote to tell his children was ”Cuiden el pellejo, que la vida no retona.” This means “take care of you because life doesn’t regrow. Humberto was a very humble person. He may of not had a lot but he would always do is best to keep his family rom suffering. He was a very kind person as well always helping those less fortunate. He would do everything he could to help anyone that needed help, whether he knew him or not. He was a very strong man with an amazing personality. He would always brighten up our days by telling jokes even when they weren’t even too funny. He was an honest and hardworking man that wouldn’t let anything get him down. He showed respect towards others. We will always remember him as the happy person that he was. He always had a smile on his face even when he was having a bad day. We will never forget when he would makeup random songs and sing to us just to make our day better.  Humberto was an agricultural laborer however; he was an entrepreneur at heart.  He bought and sold equipment, cars, and dealt in scrap metal on the side.  He was a loving father, and he will be dearly missed.  He was survived by his children: Victor H. (Gabriela) Valencia of Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico, Eduardo (Amy) Miranda of Mesa, Washington, Maria (Ramiro) Guerra of Othello, Washington, Miriam Miranda of Mesa, Washington, and Brain Miranda of Mesa, Washington, and siblings: Maria (Gabriel) Zamora of Michhoacan, Mexico, Carman (Luis) Rios of Kennewick, Washington, Pastor Miranda of Michoacan, Mexico, Maria (Gabriel) Barragan of San Francisco, California, Sandra Miranda of East Palo Alto, California, Lucero Miranda of San Jose, California, and Melecio (Gabriela) Miranda of Oakland, California.  Humberto also leaves behind four grand-daughters to cherish his loving memory.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sibling: Humberto Miranda, Lucia Miranda, Lucero Miranda, Beto Miranda, and Mariana Miranda.  A visitation will be held starting at 4:00 pm with a rosary and 6:00 pm and ending at 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello, Washington.  Catholic Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.   To leave an online condolence to Humberto’s family, please visit our website at www.stevensfc.com.
