DOB 07/04/1935 DOD 05/24/2025 Written and provided by the family. On May 24, 2025, at 4:52 in the morning, Rogelio Sosa Ramos left us to be in the presence of the Lord. It is such a blessing to his family to know that in that moment, he heard the Lord say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Mathew 25:23. Our beloved father, husband, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Rogelio Sosa Ramos, was born on July 4, 1935, to Facundo Ortiz Ramos and Maria Isabel Sosa Ramos in Garza Gonzalez, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. On December 15, 1958, he married the love of his life, Nancy Garza Ramos, and from their union, they had four children. Virginia “Ginny” Ramos (Rubén), Giermina “Minnie” Castro (Estevan), Brenda Ramos (Guy), and Rogelio Ramos Jr. (Marni). His beloved grandchildren are Brianne, Dillon, Ruben Jr., Nathan, Season, Maria, Rita, Abigail, Tomas, Jennifer, Lynn, and Alex. He also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren: Mia, Seth, Matthias, Marcus, Loryn, Emma Lee, Mista, Natalia, and Steven. Each of them is left with their own “special” story or memory, but each of them with their unconditional love. The righteous man walks in integrity: his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7. Rogelio was one of 11 children and a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. We, his children, will cherish all the memories each of them has shared with us. Stories of how he worked and cared for his mother and siblings. Moreover, he became a mentor and loving uncle to his nieces, nephews, and many more. Our Dad was many things to many people, but what he will be remembered by is his faith and unwavering trust in the Lord. He accepted and proclaimed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1964. By his example of love, compassion, tenderness, and humility, he was a true reflection of our Lord Jesus on earth. He once shared that the lord’s purpose for his life was to be an example of how to live a Christ-like life amongst his family and friends. Life for our father was not easy as he labored to support and guide his family. He worked as a Brasero, traveling to many states, and finally settled in Othello, where he continued to work to raise his children. He taught his children how to honor thy father and mother by caring for his own parents and his father-in-law until the very end. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; his parents, Facundo and Isabel; his siblings, Andres, Facundo, Irma, Oralia, and Sylvia; his son-in-law, Estevan; his grandson, Nathan; and his father and mother-in-law, Tomas and Felipa. We are confident that they are united and rejoicing in their final reward. Heaven is his final home with his beloved wife. Viewing will be at Bethal Assembly of God on Friday, June 6, 2025. Services on Saturday, June 7 th . Internment at the Bess Hampton Memorial Garden, followed by time for remembrance and fellowship at the Bethel Church Auditorium.
