Obituary Mary Susan Alpine 76 yrs December 1947 – July 2023 Mary is predeceased by her father Gabe Alpine mother Lucy Alpine (White); her older brother Albert Jr, Marion, Able and George; daughters Pricilla and Donna. Mary passed away at the Othello Medical Centre on July 20, 2023. Mary is survived by her sibling Delphine Alpine, sons Albert Alpine, Tyrone Smith, Terrell Smith and Terrence Smith and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary grew up on the Columbia Lake Indian reserve, Windermere BC, Canada. Mary attended the Kootenay Indian Residential School for 6 years then moved to Seattle Washington with her mother and siblings with the exception of her brother Albert who remained in Canada. Mary made a life in Seattle Wa until she moved to Ephrata Wa and then making her final home in Soap Lake Wa. Mary may have had some struggles, but lived life to the fullest. She loved football and enjoyed native designs. Mary would do anything for her friends, family, community and loved being with her people and hearing and speaking her Ktunaxa language. Mary made everyone who knew her laugh, with her unique sense of humor. Our family is grateful to know that Mary is finally at peace. A Celebration of Life is planned for Tues Aug 22, 2023 at the Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello Wa at 12:00 noon.
