Obituary of Clarence Arthur Smith

Clarence Arthur Smith, 87, of Basin City, Washington passed away August 15, 2015 at Coventry House. He was born in Cottage Hill, Kansas on October 6, 1927. He was to married to Iris Irene Rosebaugh on April 26, 1946. Together they raised four children. They were married for 66 years until she passed away in 2012. Clarence was a self-employed farmer. He was also a member of the Sherriff’s posey for 43 years, the Fire department for over 30 years, and Cattlemen association. Clarence was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and camping. He He had a passion horsing, and especially all of his Grandchildren. He survived by his sister Julia of Arizona and Josephine (Art) Hetzke of Kansas, Sons Kenneth (Gayle) Smith of Connell, David (Sandy) Smith of Basin City, Randy (deb) Smith of Montana, Connie Smith of Kahlotus and his Daughter Gloria (John) Taylor of Warden, 16 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren Clarence’s family would like to thank everyone at Coventry House and Assured Hospice for the quality of care and love each person provided. We would also like to say thank you for your friendship, love and care through all the years. A viewing will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Thursday August 20, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello, Washington. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday August 21, 2015 at Country View Cemetery in Basin City, Washington.
