Obituary of Connie M. Castro
Connie M. Castro, age 79, met the Lord on her own terms February 25, 2016 at her home in Othello, Washington with her son, David, by her side. She was born in Donna, Texas on October 2, 1936 to parents, Julian and Rita Morales. She was raised in Donna and Edinburg, Texas. She met the love of her life, Francisco “Frank” Castro in 1954. Connie and Frank settle in Othello in 1957. Together they had 7 children. Connie worked at Chef Reddy when they first opened, until she finally retired in 1994. Connie and Frank enjoyed several years of marriage until Frank passed away on July 23, 2000. Connie found beauty in life; she loved roses and collected butterflies, and frogs. She loved her pets; her dog Paco was special to both Connie and Frank. Connie was a strong willed woman, and “the rock of the family,” she will be dearly missed. She was survived by her: son, Wally Castro of Othello, Washington, daughter-in-law, Minnie Castro of Othello, Washington, son, Ray (Cheryn) Castro of Seattle, Washington, son, Frank Castro of Othello, Washington, daughter, Mary (Larry Aubrey) Castro of Othello, Washington, son, David (Victoria) Castro of Othello, Washington, and Honorary son, Tim (Darla) Spurgeon of Othello, Washington. Connie also leaves 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren to cherish her loving memory. She is preceded in death by her: parents, Julian and Rita Morales, husband, Francisco “Frank” Castro, her bothers, Hinigo, Alfonso, and Geronimo Morales, and her son, Jose, daughter-in-law, Charlene and her son, Steve Castro. Funeral arrangements will be held at 1:45 pm, Friday, March 4, 2016, at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello with burial to follow at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens.
