Goodbye, Mark. It's hard to know you're gone from this world now. I am going to miss you. It's comforting to know your suffering has ended and you have gone home to be with the Lord. I am so glad we had our last 8 hours together on July 2nd. It was a treasure having you along on our Coulee Corridor outing to Grand Coulee Dam to take in the traveling quilt show in celebration of the 100 th anniversary of the NPS. You got to talk to lots of people that day, even a nice gentleman from Virginia who was at the quilt show. Afterwards, we visited the local visitor center and together, we took in lots of views of the dam. On our way back, we checked out resorts and campgrounds, especially Steamboat Rock, before heading for Mexican dinner in Ephrata. It was a new place for us; you liked it so much you told our waitress we'd be back. Afterwards, we sat in my car and joked we were digesting as I called my mom to tell her I would drive you home first before I'd call her back. You and she had your last conversation together. I told her later, you often told me you kept her in your prayers. I hope you will remind God about her - and I hope you're reunited with your parents, especially your mom. Rest in peace, Bud.
