Obituary of Susie Giesbrecht
Dolly Mae O’Hare "Susie" Giesbrecht, of Othello, Washington, was born May 9, 1943 to Jasper O’Hare and Della Unruh Taylor, in Red Bluff, California. She passed from this life in Othello Washington, on November 6, 2019, at the age of 76 years.
Our mother grew up in the Winton California area . She received her formal education in Winton Elementary School, and Livingston High. Mom answered the call of God and was baptized by Min. Norman Eicher into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite when she was almost twelve years of age. Mom found her life’s companion in Dennis "Kookie" Giesbrecht, and they were joined in marriage on September 19,1960. Together, they raised a family of six boys in the Glenn, Atwater and Livingston California areas. Later, they moved to Scio, Oregon before settling in the Othello Washington area.
Death was caused by complications related to cancer.
She leaves to mourn; her husband, Dennis, of Othello, WA., Denny and Rena, of Othello WA., Rick and Joyce, Abbotsford, B.C., Gary and Racquel, Ojai, CA.,Jeremy and Crystal, Homeworth, OH., Andy, Othello, Wa.; Toby, Salt Lake City, Ut.; Brother Johnny and Pearl Taylor, Modesto CA., Sister Billie Taylor, Modesto CA., brother Elwood (Junior) and Kathy Rase, Winton, CA., Brothers-in-law, LeRoy and Margie Giesbrecht, Caldwell, Id., Norman and Ramona Giesbrecht, Merced CA., sisters-in-law Koni Giesbrecht, Livingston CA., Catherine Harris, Merced, CA., Linda Jantz, Atwater CA., Bertha Giesbrecht, Atwater, CA., 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and parents-in-law; two brothers, five brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law.
The funeral service has been planned for Thursday November 14, 2019, 10:30 am.
Internment in Bess Hampton cemetery immediately following service.
