Obituary of Sophia Carmona

Sophia Carmona age 71, died on Wednesday June 18, 2020 at Astria Sunnyside Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Sophia was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Eduardo and Julia (Rodriguez)Ramos, she was the youngest of 19 children. Sophia grew up working in the fields most of her life traveling as far as Texas for work. On March 8, 1965 she married Miguel Carmona. They settled in Othello to raise their 6 children. Sophia continued to work while raising her family. She was a truck driver for a few years then worked at McCain foods until a work related accident in 1991. Sophia was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She would volunteer her time and cooking skills. Sophia was a very loving and dedicated to her family. She loved to cook, spend time with her family and up until she was too ill she enjoyed going to church. Sophia was proceeded in death by her parents, numerous brothers and sisters, her husband Miguel, her son Juan and grandson Johnny. She is survived by Connie (Artemio) Borja Eduardo Carmona Beatriz (Jesus) Barragan Miguel Carmona Jr Daniel Carmona 27 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews
