Obituary of Carlos Ruiz

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, Carlos Ruiz passed away surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Carlos battled cancer for 21 years and was a fighter to the end. He gave us many years beyond his diagnosis and can now finally rest. Carlos was the only child born September 6th, 1952 to Julia Ruiz and Carlos Ruiz Sr. He was raised in Cd. Juarez, Mexico and came to Washington in 1976 at the age of 24. He worked for 23 years at Chef Ready, Carnation, Nestle, and ultimately Simplot until he retired. Carlos is survived by his wife of 48 years Carmen, sons Carlos, David, and Ricardo, and his 7 grandchildren Jazmin (Honey), Julia, Elena, Bella, Maya, Samson, and Armelle, and his beloved dog Xena. He was a man of faith devoted to the Catholic Church. Also, he was a lifelong fan of the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks. You could find him on most days watching his Mariners. He loved classic cars, science fiction, and singing oldies. El jueves 16 de septiembre de 2021, Carlos Ruiz falleció rodeado de su esposa, hijos y nietos. Carlos luchó contra el cáncer durante 21 años y fue un luchador hasta el final. Nos dio muchos años más allá de su diagnóstico y ahora puede descansar por fin. Carlos fue el único hijo nacido el 6 de septiembre de 1952 de Julia Ruiz y Carlos Ruiz Sr. Fue criado en Cd. Juárez, México y llegó a Washington en 1976 a la edad de 24 años. Trabajó durante 23 años en Chef Ready, Carnation, Nestle y finalmente en Simplot hasta que se jubiló. A Carlos le sobreviven su esposa de 48 años Carmen, sus hijos Carlos, David, y Ricardo, y sus 7 nietos Jazmin (Honey), Julia, Elena, Bella, Maya, Samson, y Armelle, y su querida perra Xena. Era un hombre de fe devoto de la Iglesia Católica. Además, fue un fanático de toda la vida de los Seattle Mariners y los Seattle Seahawks. Se le podía encontrar la mayoría de los días viendo a sus Mariners. Le encantaban los coches clásicos, la ciencia ficción y cantar canciones antiguas.
