Obituary of Naomi R Hampton

Othello, Washington - The matriarch of the Hampton Family, Naomi Hampton passed away gently and peacefully at the age of 98 on November 20, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Athol, South Dakota to Emma and Hugh Hollenbeck. She attended Tekoa High School and soon married RA “Bud Hampton on July 6, 1941. She enjoyed the activities of her children traveling with her husband and family, being involved in the family ranching, and farming operations, crocheting, and sewing, reading, gardening, and cooking for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, children (Lyle, Robin “Bunny”, Robert “Bob” and son in law Dale Bowers). She is survived by her children Lynda Bowers of Othello, Sandra Dodge (Roy), of Othello, Gayle Hampton-Smith (Kyle), of Lakewood, Pamela Hampton of Lakewood, and Alex “Bud” Hampton (Diane), of Othello. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great–great grandchildren. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends. Naomi will be laid to rest at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens.
