Armando Acosta, Jr.

Obituary of Armando Acosta, Jr.

Armando (Mando) Acosta Jr, age 50, of Othello, WA, passed away February 6, 2022. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Sunnyside on July 17, 1971 to parents, Armando Sr. and Janie (Olvera) Acosta. He met his wife, Jill Martin, in high school in 1991 and they got married in 2001 in Othello and raised two daughters. Over the years he worked as a forklift operator and was currently a lead at Lineage Logistics. Mando took pride in overseeing and teaching his swing shift team. Some activities he enjoyed doing were getting lots of snacks and going on long country cruises with his girls, watching sports (especially his favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers), spending quality time with family, cooking for his girls and going to the casino with his parents and mother-in-law. Mando enjoyed being involved in his daughters' sports, field trips, school festivities and just loved being a big kid at heart. He was the life of the party and could fill the room with his loud laugh! Mando had a love for comics and his girls will miss listening to him talk for hours about every detail. His presence will be dearly missed by so many people. He is survived by his wife, Jill Acosta and his daughters, Kelcy Acosta age 29 and Sydnee Acosta age 21. Mando also leaves his mother, Janie Acosta, his sister, Armandina Acosta (and her three daughters), brother, Adam Acosta (and his one son) and mother-in-law, Virginia Martin. He is preceded in death by his father and his father-in-law, Melvin Martin.
