Obituary of Rayda Marie Akins

Sunday morning July 3rd, Rayda Marie Akins, loving Mother of three children and Grandmother of many, peacefully passed away at the age of 87. Rayda was born on December 22nd, 1934, in Naches, WA to Lawrence and Nea Seed. She graduated High School in 1953 in Naches, WA. Rayda married Arlis Akins in 1953. They had three children: Diane, John and Jim. Together, they opened their first grocery store in Quincy, WA in 1963. Rayda was passionately involved with the First Assembly of God Church. Rayda loved her family. She was a kind, caring and compassionate woman. Rayda always brought smiles and laughter to the room with her joyful sense of humor. Rayda offered kind words and prayer to any that knew her. Her passions were: gardening, painting, cooking and spending time with her Family and Grandchildren. Rayda was preceded by her Parents, Lawrence and Nea Seed, and her husband Arlis Akins. She is survived by her three children, Diane, John, Jim, as well as her nine Grandchildren and sixteen Great Grandchildren.
