Obituary of Lisa Wilhelm

Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lisa was born on September 19, 1967. She was the youngest girl of 14 brothers & sisters. She grew up on her mom’s dairy farm right outside of Othello. She met the love of her life, Jeff, in the 80’s and finally tied the knot in 1988. They welcomed their son, Zachery in 1989 and their daughter, Maranda in 1995. While Lisa stayed home to raise their children, she opened a home daycare for about 10 years. She had a huge heart and fell in love with each child she cared for, as did they. When her daycare days were over, she worked in many different jobs, including caregiving for another 10+ years. You see she loved working with people and cherished the relationships they built. But above all else, she wanted to be very present for her husband, children and eventually, grandchildren too. Lisa had a love for the traditions she & Jeff were creating for her children and grandchildren. We would say her hobbies included gardening – she had a variation of flowers that would bloom almost all year long. She also loved decorating for every season, every holiday, and making every occasion memorable for that specific person, whether it was a birthday, school award or graduation. She made sure to always be there! And she made sure you felt loved and special. Lisa’s departure leaves a hole in the hearts of all those who loved her. She was blessed with an abundance of family. So many nieces and nephews, siblings, in laws and friends that became family. Lisa passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24 th at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, WA with her husband, son and daughter-in-law, and daughter and son-in law at her side. Lisa is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Jeffery Lewis, and her two children. Her son Zachery Lewis & Jacklyn Wilhelm & their children, Aaliyah Marie, Ethan Nathaniel, & Sidney Lyn Wilhelm, & her daughter Maranda Dawn & Erik Taylor And their daughter, Sophie Aldon Taylor. Lisa is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marguerite, big sister, Nancy, and big brother, Glen.
