She is preceded by her siblings; Hijina Vela, Hilaria Marichalar, Juanito Campos, Froilan Campos, Delfina Villareal. She is survived by two sisters: Elvia Cantu and Ofelia Cantu. Mom was a fervent woman of prayer. She loved to spend time with God by reading His word and worshiping Him at every opportunity. Her greatest desire was that her family felt her prayers and love. She found so much joy in hearing from her family through visits or phone calls, even if it was just for a brief moment. At the age of 21, mom became engaged to the love of her life, Leonel Martinez, marrying on March 24, 1957, in the Repueblo de Oriente of the municipality of the Ramones, N.L. They were married for 56 years until he left her side to be with their heavenly father. Our mom was a dedicated wife and a loving mother to their children; Rosaelia and Richard Schubert, Hidalia and Eloy Gonzalez, Antelia who lived ten days, Telly and Daniel G. Cantu, Leonel who lived three days, and Leonel and Maricela Martinez. She has 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one on the way. In 1976 our father accepted Jesus as his personal savior and soon after our mother also accepted Jesus as her savior. On January 10th at 1:22 am, while surrounded by her family, mom went to be with her Creator at the age of 86. Mommy we love you and we will miss you; we do not say goodbye but rather see you soon, as you have only gone ahead of us. All of us—your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren— will see you in Heaven to praise our God together for eternity.
