DOB 02/12/1942 DOD 05/06/2024 Obituary provided by the family Marie Teresa Zaragoza (Valdez) February 12, 1942 – May 6, 2024 Marie Teresa Zaragoza of Othello, Washington passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024. Marie, the youngest daughter of Jose and Maria Valdez, devoted loving wife of Guadalupe Zaragoza, passed away in Moses Lake. Marie has join her daughter, Lilia who passed in the 90's. Marie is survived by her husband Guadalupe Zaragoza, and children Anthony, Gorgie, Cameil, Joe, Lupe II, and Salvador and there are also others that considered her as Mom. Marie is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Marie loved caring for her husband and children and she became well-known for the delicious meals that she would prepare. Marie was the youngest of 12 and she loved her brothers and sisters very much - she was the baby of the family. Marie’s nephews and nieces were always the bright spot of her day when they called or visited and she called each one her favorite. She became known as Mrs. Z or Marie to her children’s friends (whom she called mi hija or mi hijo) and was loved by many who experienced her kindness. Marie always had a welcoming attitude for those that entered her house, was happy to see you and had a hug for those she loved. Marie loved to dance, listen to Mexican music, early rock and the Blues, go to family reunions and talk about Jesus. Marie will be greatly missed by her family and friends – although, if you were her friend, you were considered family.
