Obituary of Bethel Erdman

DOB 04/10/1928 DOD 12/21/2024 Written and provided by family. Bethel (Bettie) Erdman a long time Othello resident went to be with her Savior on December 21,2024.Born in Centralia Washington on April 10,1928. She resided there until marrying. In 1948. She moved to Othello in 1960 to be closer to her mother and raise her 2 girls. She was a secretary for Pacific Fruit for the first year until being hired by Washington Water Power (now Avista). She retired after 30 years in 1991. She married Walter Erdman in 1980. After retiring she had several adventures. She opened Mary’s kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Following up was the same at The Old Hotel. She catered several events. Made monthly birthday cakes for the Fourteenth Avenue Medical Clinic, and worked in the kitchen at the Nazarene church for many special occasions. During these years she made countless Wedding cakes. She was a kind loving person who will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Walter Erdman. Her mother Georgia (Keene) Melhuish, Father Frank Arndt, sister Norma Hook (Charles),brother Leonard Wilson (Margarita),son Earl Price, daughter Judi Dodge and son in law Ray Dodge, and Son in law Coy Mathis. She is survived be daughters Earline Mathis (Stephen), Roni Craddock (Jerry), Cori Yeager(Jeff), and son Marty Erdman (Linda). Grandchildren Christopher Hart, Kevin Mathis (Amber), Sarina Coy (Jeremie), Nicholas Hart (Suzanne),Blake Mathis, Pausha Hall, Jake Yeager(Jolynn), Samantha Yeager, Ryan Erdman. 11 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-great grandchildren. There will be a service at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens on April 10th ,2025 at 10:00 AM. Following with a luncheon at the Othello Nazarene Church. Bring you stories and smiles, she would expect nothing less.
